Meet Flurry — Alarm Clock, Done Right.For Ambient's first alarm clock, our goal was to create a product that is truly effortless, even reassuring to use. The result is Flurry: A supremely intuitive device that will help you wake up on time, and might just help you sleep a little easier in the process. The first thing you'll notice about Flurry is the very large, easy-to-read time display. Yes, it's dimmable. We selected an amber backlight to make the display easy to read in the dark — amber doesn't "burn" your retina and cause momentary blindness the way a white or blue display will. To the right and left of the time display, you'll find dedicated indicators for alarm 1 and alarm 2. The benefit is that you can always see the alarm time, at a glance. You don't need to touch Flurry to know alarm status. The alarms are also easy to activate and deactivate — simply press the corresponding button on the top. When the button is "up" the alarm is on. Easy. As you look closer, you'll notice that AM and PM indicators actually say "AM" and "PM". And there are no buttons or controls on the back of Flurry — all controls are right on top, where you can easily find and use them. Like many of our products, Flurry includes a forecast from AccuWeather.com. We've provided a 2-day weather snapshot, so you will always know what to expect for the day ahead. The forecast is automatically updated throughout the day so it's immediately available whenever you need it. No need to wait for an update at the top of the hour on the radio or TV, or for an Internet-download. Detailed icons indicate conditions such as "light rain" and "heavy snow" and a text description provides additional information you can use, such as "clouds giving way to sun" or "chance of afternoon showers" so you can decide to pack an extra sweater, or an umbrella. Flurry connects to Ambient's free InfoCast wireless network, so you have the benefit of accurate network time. Flurry automatically adjusts for daylight savings time, and includes a battery backup — so your alarm will go off on time, even if there is a power outage (1 "AA" battery required, sold separately). Last, but not least, there are two different alarm tones, each with adjustable volume, and each designed to make sure you actually wake up — on time.
